Vitamin D insufficiency symptoms

In adults, those with a mild lack of vitamin D may be asymptomatic, perhaps only feeling tired or having general aches and pains.1
Suboptimal vitamin D status (<50 nmol/L) has been associated with an increased risk of severe infections and sepsis.2

Symptoms can be vague, or chronic widespread pain. If it is suspected that this is caused by osteomalacia, consider treatment1
